Early Intervention:
Helping Your Child Reach Their Full Potential
B
utterflei provides developmental intervention services to children ages birth-to-five, with disabilities or developmental delays. The brain is developing at a rapid rate during these early years, meaning that early childhood is a critical time for learning. We specialize in helping young children strengthen their abilities so that they may participate more fully in their day-to-day lives, and reach their full potential. We focus on routines-based interventions, which means we help children learn within their natural environments and within the daily activities in which they already participate. This is why we come to you, and provide our services where your child is most comfortable.
Helping Your Child
Learn and Grow
At Butterflei, we have a whole child perspective, and believe that every area of development is interrelated. We will help your child grow within all areas of development through fun and playful interventions. Some examples include; helping your child to begin to understand and regulate their emotions, improving behavior, enhancing interactions with the other children and adults in their life, increasing persistence and independence, and enriching playing and thinking skills. We can also help improve times of the day that may be difficult for your family such as transitions, sleep, toilet training, mealtime, or getting dressed. If your child is currently receiving other therapy, we can also assist them in expanding their newly acquired skill-sets and further applying these in their day-to-day lives.
Parent Coaching:
Partnering with
caregivers and families
Being a parent is hard work, and we are here to partner with you and help you navigate your child’s developmental process. Butterflei recognizes that you—the parent— are the expert on your child. We work with parents as well as children, because we know that you create the greatest impact for your child. Parent coaching is a large part of what we do, supporting you in your natural role as a parent. Together we can figure out strategies that work for your family, and that are respectful of your unique parenting preferences.
